Program Description: The Color Wheel Studio offers a safe and unique after school child care experience for elementary school aged children. Focused on arts exploration, Color Wheel activities include drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, dramatic play, music and a variety of other stimulating activities.
 
Services of Color Wheel include:
·        After noon snack in accordance with USDA guidelines for nutrition.
·        A quality childcare experience with qualified 
         childcare   professionals/artists.
·        Arts activities/instruction & encouragement.
·        Homework time/assistance
·        Art Supplies
·        A high level of staff/parent communication via e-mail, newsletters and
         parent conferences.
 
Color Wheel introduces an exciting new concept to the childcare industry by providing an after school care experience that is both safe, reliable child care and a family art studio and gallery. Color Wheel kids, as part of a young artist’s community, through hands on activities and art exhibitions watch each other learn and grow throughout the year. Each child is cared for physically, emotionally and treated as a creative individual.

Age Group: Ages 5 to 11
 
Days Available: Weekly Monday through Friday 2:45 PM –6:30 PM during the months of August-May concurrent with the City of Decatur school calendar year. A summer camp program will be offered separately during summer months.
