Strengthening the Afterschool Professional Development System to Build Program Quality
The Georgia Afterschool Investment Council’s vision is for all Georgia’s kids to be safe, healthy, educated, employable, and connected. GAIC believes that afterschool programs contribute significantly to achieving these long term youth outcomes. In order for programs to succeed at influencing youth’s ability to be successful at reaching these outcomes afterschool programs must be of high-quality.
To build program quality, GAIC is committed to building the professional development infrastructure to improve the capacity of afterschool providers and afterschool trainers in order to build the leadership capacity that will professionalize the afterschool field in Georgia.
