Food Resources for Afterschool and Summer Programs


The Nutrition Services Division of Bright from the Start administers the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) in Georgia.

Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
CACFP is a federal program that provides reimbursement for nutritious meals and snacks served to children in child care centers, family day care homes, before/after school programs, and emergency/homeless shelters and to eligible adults in adult care centers. Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
