By Gail Ledezma-Smith, Senior Manager of Outreach & Quality Initiatives

We are excited to announce the launch of the Georgia Afterschool E-Learning Institute. The online learning platform allows out-of-school time professionals throughout Georgia to enroll in quality online training at their own convenience.

The Georgia Afterschool E-Learning Institute features a series of 36 courses for school-age youth professionals on topics ranging from child abuse prevention to best practices in managing school-age children in groups. In addition, the Institute will be continually updated with new Georgia-specific trainings aligned to the Georgia Afterschool and Youth Development (ASYD) Quality Standards.

The in-depth content, interactivity, and rich visuals give youth development professionals tools and helps them gain knowledge to improve their practice and raise the quality of their program. The Institute will also give site and program directors the ability to track the scores of their staff or different programs sites over time. If you are looking for an opportunity to learn and grow on your own schedule and to have a variety of courses available to you, then the Institute is a great option for you!

Registration is now open and is offered at the low price of $75/subscription per year. The Institute provides out-of-school time professionals with a whole year of learning and curriculum that they can go back to over and over again and is substantially cheaper than many one-time professional development opportunities. If you have any questions, please email GSAN at elearning@afterschoolga.org.
