By Jessica Woltjen, Outreach Manager

Join us for the inaugural Afterschool Day at the Capitol on February 28, 2018 from 8:00 – 11:30 AMAfterschool Day at the Capitol seeks to raise awareness of the critical role afterschool programs play in preparing Georgia’s youth for success in college, career, and life by giving afterschool providers from across the state an opportunity to meet and interact with their legislators.

Why come to Afterschool Day at the Capitol?

  1. Learn how to better advocate for your program
  2. Share your #afterschool story directly with legislators
  3. Unite as one powerful voice for #afterschool in Georgia!

The day will begin at the Sloppy Floyd Building for advocacy training, resources, and networking. Participants will then go across the street to the State Capitol to share the value of afterschool directly with legislators, meet with partners, and reflect on the experience!

This is a FREE event for all afterschool and summer providers, but registration is required. To register, click here. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to share your afterschool story and unite as one powerful voice for afterschool in Georgia! For a flyer, click here.
