Julia Morris is the Summer Learning Manager at the Georgia Statewide Afterschool Network (GSAN).

Julia comes to GSAN with over 18 years of experience in education and nonprofit leadership. In her years as a teacher, Julia saw that the needs of her students extended far beyond the classroom. She was inspired by research that indicated access to high-quality out-of-school support, services, and experiences could make significant improvements to the trajectory of children’s lives. As a result, Julia chose to follow her heart and began serving children in need by providing after-school programming leadership for nonprofit youth development organizations.

Julia earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree from Berry College in 2002, where she studied Psychology and Women’s Studies. She went on to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mercer University in 2007.
