Marcus Laing is the Communications and Outreach Specialist at the Georgia Statewide Afterschool Network (GSAN).

As Communications & Outreach Specialist for the GSAN team, Marcus is responsible for expanding the organization’s reach and influence, as well as implementing strategies to communicate with statewide afterschool and summer learning programs. Prior to coming aboard in 2021, Marcus directed communications for Georgia’s largest educational nonprofit serving LatinX students and families. In this role, Marcus further solidified his belief in a whole child approach to education, and its power to produce more favorable outcomes for children and adolescents. Having spent nearly his entire career in nonprofits, Marcus brings a wealth of experience working alongside numerous 501c3 designated organizations in Georgia.
